Bruce Emmett’s varied artistic practice has developed from an interest in everyday materials, forms, and spaces. The work ranges from painting, collage, and printmaking to suburban archaeology. A current project involves collaboration with an archaeologist to unearth the first skateboard park in Canada, buried in West Vancouver.

Emmett’s work has been exhibited in Canada and the United States, where it exists in private collections and in the collection of the West Vancouver Museum. Emmett received his BFA at UBC, where he studied painting and drawing, and completed his MAA at Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
